HTC Evo 4G Crashing and Restarting Problem. I need Help.
My HTC Evo is the best phone ever but i cant use it because it keeps on Crashing. It Has the real 2.2 update and it had the second 2.1 update when i bought it. I do not have a lot of apps on it I only have 2 or 3 games. It keeps on crashing when i use it for more than 30 seconds. It sucks. I would hae to wait 2 years to get a new one. THis is BS. It crashes and restarts constantly.

Use wifi, it always stays on if u use wifi not 3g however
Sounds like the phone is overheating for some reason…my evo 4G doesn’t do that but I have been having trouble with the launcher force closing often…I have gingerbread on mine

If you got the Apple iPhone 4, you wouldn’t have that problem. I have the HTC EVO 4G and it does the same thing. I also have the iPhone 3GS and it is amazing. If you want a good Android phone, you should get the Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY.

My phone went into crash cycle for over 2hrs last night – has been doing since last upgrade. Phone factory reset – Sprint replaced battery…. No 3rd apps installed since reset. Was an Amazing phone – Now, It is almost bricked and HTC and sprint will do nothing. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE UNTIL YOU SEE NEWS OF CRASHING PROBLEMS FIXED….PLEASE.
same problem here. the tech ran a test on the CPU and it failed, so they sent me a new phone.

the same happened to me when i was conecting the the hdmi to my tv. i could wacht like to videos and then it start to crash. What i did was disconect the battery for a couple of minutes and after that it has been fine.
This happened to me…after they reset my phone 3 times they finally decided to give me a new evo

I’ve sent it to HTC TWICE, never fixed it. On call # 14 with HTC tech/warranty support.
@TheChops24 well I did that too. battery is good and last long but it still restart on mine.

I got the same problem. I will tell you what is wrong. pay attation. What you and I got is a power ,managment chip had died. also any small parts around the chip also died as well. take it to cellulardr com and click on Cell phone repair on the left corner box
