We take a look at the software on the LG Nitro HD for AT&T. LG has done some light customization to the Android 2.3.5 software and it includes gestures.
Thanks really good video! Have u had the skyrocket in ur hands? Because I’m wondering if a screen could.really be better then a galaxy s2 skyrocket. I know the HTC Vivid is not better. The higher pixels don’t help on the.vivid it still has that plasma TV look vs a led or lcd like Samsung
Thanka
I meant that both gestures AND siri dont serve much of a practical purpose…just more of a gimmick that is nice to have, but you’ll probably never use it. leave it to the iSheep to buy a revamped year old phone because you can talk to it.
UGLY= user preference. Inferior=yes but this LG nitro seems very capable. and siri is not practical. 1. You need to have a decent US accent, 2. You need to be connected to the internetnet to make it work. 3. You still have to activate/launch siri before you can use its features. =NOT PRACTICAL
touché, sir…..still no question in my mind who came out on top though…:) LG still makes inferior products and a very ugly UI. granted, TW3 wasn’t that pretty either, but very functional on top of eclair/froyo.
in the end though, gesture really dont serve that much of a practical purpose…..like siri…haha
the optimus 2x has no gesture button. Gesture button or not. It is still dismisses your point that LG copies samsung about the whole gesture thing. SInce LG was first to have it then i can assume that Samsung Copies LG. And it also dismisses your point that LG copies every idea from Samsung. Plain and easy. And I was wrong. It was actually 2007 when they had their touchscreen UI.
@akocern03, agree about the gestures somewhat, but with the optimus black, there was a dedicated button for the gestures. samsung implemented it with the capacitive touchscreen, which is a lot more intuitive.
The LG UI on android used to look different with their first round of optimus phones, correct? and the LG UI may have been around from 2009, but samsung’s touchwiz has been around since 2008
Does the 3 button configuration remind anyone else of the international sgs1/2?
The skyrocket has a awesome
Screen. Way better color then my iPhone 4. Don’t know about the regular sg2 because I haven’t had it
if the skyrockets screen is the same as the the gs2 for att then i hope it is better. the gs2 screen for att is shit.
Update….. yea right its LG. Stick to making home appliances
