SAMSUNG EPIC 4G HOW TO ROOT AND ADD CUSTOM 2.2 FROYO ROM

Due to all the requests for a video showing how to root, update the modem & pit files (required DK17 for most FROYO 2.2 ROMS), and how to add a custom ROM, I have listened to you.. LOL.. Again, my video quality REALLY SUCKS so I am sorry. This will use the files located at forum.xda-developers.com and if all else fails please just google it. I am using the “one click root exploit v. 2.5″, ODIN3 v. 1.61, DK17 PIT, DK17 MODEM, VIPERrom v. 2.8 TRiNiTY and DON’T FORGET TO INSTALL YOUR PHONE DRIVERS!!!! Thanks go to BThomas22x from XDA Epic 4g forum, he makes these ROMs, and updates them almost daily.. LOL.. He even has a chat room if you need help. I did not have a script, as things never go how I imagine they should, so I freelanced it.. You can tell… I hope this helps, and sorry if the video is not up to par, I have very little spare time to make vids. Thanks for watching, and PLEASE “LIKE” if you like it, and subscribe!!

Samsung Epic 4G 2.2.1 VIPERrom v. 2.5 SUPER FAST!!

This is my Epic 4G running Android 2.2.1 DK17. The ROM was created by BThomas22x from XDADEVELOPERS and is called VIPERrom v 2.5 / ArtifiCIAL. This ROM is amazingly fast.. Quadrant usually runs 2300, Linpack typically runs 14.0xx in 6 secs. You will see a HUGE speed increase using this ROM. I will post a link to his forum, he gives detailed instructions, and if you need help he’s on there 24/7. Sorry for the poor video quality, my camera is pretty old, but I wanted to get this out to everyone who was tired of waiting on Samsung to release 2.2.. No need, just get this ROM! Thank you BThomas22x for all your hard work, and amazing support on XDA. Forum link to ROM: forum.xda-developers.com

Tommy takes some time with the Evo 4G and Epic 4G and compares the only two 4G phones out on the market. When Tommy made this comparison 4G was not available in his market. Since then, 4G has launched in his area and will be doing another comparison. Over all the phones have similar feature yet the quality of each feature varies from phone to phone. I’d hoped to test a Nokia N8 prototype this year, but that fell through, so I’ll be using the wonderful Samsung T929 (Memoir) again… I’m also bringing my Nexus One, my iPhone 4, the Samsung Epic 4G, and my Motorola F3 (aka. the “zombie apocalypse” phone). Follow me on Twitter, and check out my Epic 4G sample pictures (slide show) and sample video (after the break). Samsung’s Galaxy S for the US market — the Vibrant (T-Mobile), Captivate (AT&T), Epic 4G (Sprint), and Fascinate (Verizon) — share the same core specs, but diverge in appearance and implementation. How do these similarities and differences affect camera performance and user experience? Find out after the break… Pictures Clearly, Samsung knows how to make a nice cameraphone — just look at the T929 (Memoir), or more recently, the S8500 (Wave). The Galaxy S is no exception — in fact, it shares its autofocus optics and 5 megapixel sensor with the Wave. Pictures taken with the Galaxy S are excellent. The results are better than most other 5 megapixel cameraphones, except for Nokia’s classic Nseries imaging flagships (the N95 and N82). The camera captures tons of information, with
