Actually it uses Sprint and Verizon towers…I called the company to ask the towers that are used. But if you only have Sprint towers in your area and not Verizon, obviously the only tower your phone will run off is Sprint; and vise versa.
There is a pending Class action law suit against Straight Talk. They advertise unlimited text talk and data. This is false. they will deactivate the account if you use more than 2G a month. So you can’t watch youtube or streaming movies from sites like Hulu etc…

Straight talk is better cause it runs off off Verizon and Sprint Towers…they have better coverage. And better phones to pick from.
