i am a world traveller and I can use the gps function only in the state? without internet?
I dont wanna use internet connection cos of the costs…
i have the same ihi can somebody help me with my nokia e71 maps? i cant see a damn thing. i cant see the road, the map, the route. nothing.no streets. only a red dot on my positiion. is there something wrong with my settings?im with straight talk tho.help can you message me in my inbox or just reply here,.thanksssue at that other person aceman42, can you help me as well??

dude i like the way you think… i am the same way… and believe me this will be the best 200 dollars you will spend. given they keep it the way it is right now. i use my laptop to talk to my girlfriend using skype. well i keep my laptop off now because i can stay logged into my skype for free. the gps is also free, if you pay lets say only 15 dollars on gps and 10 dollars extra for unlimited internet thats gonna be 200 dollars in less then a year!! so go for this phone
@zallirogify At this time, Straight Talk only works within the United States. The phone and service will not function outside the US. It will receive international calls, texts and email, and can call (but not text) internationally with their new International Service. Your best bet is to buy an unlocked phone and purchase a sim card in Italy.

I just thought thats a perfect advertisement line. Anyways, I did my research already. Its a great phone. Getting one next week.
yeah and then tell people if u switch the micro sd cards that had contained the maps program or card gets corrupted youll get a blank ass screen with a red dot for your gps location ya some great stupid progamming issues seriously pain the ASS!
tried everything from deleting files on card formatting using pain in ass pc suite nothing but a damn hassle
I love that you can do all of this fancy stuff like GPS and still pay half as much as those sucker Blackberry and iPhone customers that are like paying twice as much as you are and then wondering why they are broke.
I am also from italy.. and wanna get this phone free with a 10 euros plan on tree mobile….
but if i cannot use gps for free that is a mierda for me!!

Install GOOGLE MAPS and you wont need this application

Only bad thing about this phone is that unlike other straight talk phones it doesn’t use the verizon network . . .

does Nokia maps uses data from internet?
