This video is an attempt to debunk some of the rumors, unfair comparison’s and myths about Android’s voice command capabilities: I don’t own the iPhone 4S, so unfortunately I can’t do a side-by-side comparison. But I have read a lot about it and seen many of its features in videos as well. So I feel quite familiar with its capabilities. Overall I am impressed with Siri, so much so that I believe it is the best in the market in regards to speech to text communication. But the question is how much better is it? There have been numerous videos made comparing Siri’s capabilities vs. Android’s, but none of them that I have seen have been fair comparisons. Most of them seem to confuse “Voice Actions” applications with the common Voice Search built into most Android devices. The Voice Search app in Android is for just that: Voice Search and will do nothing else but search Google with your voice. To compare Siri with this would be ludicrous. Here’s a very popular video that has been floating around that does just that: www.youtube.com Notice that this video not only uses the Voice Search app in Android designed only for Google voice searches, but it also focuses on a lot of the silly Easter egg nuances built into Siri, as if Android would have those same Easter eggs built into its platform. Also note that thousands of people have already seen this video as well as other similar versions making the same unfair comparisons. I am sure that many seeing these videos will accept it as

TRUTH Behind Apple And Android’s Pinch To Zoom: TRICKERY REVEALED!

I recently talked to an a friend of mine who use to work for Nokia prior to the Microsoft-Nokia partnership with Windows Phone 7. Nokia back in 2005-2006 let go of a huge group of Nokia employees, presumably developers and R&D folks, in which Apple quickly snatched up to assist their development for the original iPhone. Many of you don’t know this. As much as I would love reveal my friend, he said strictly to leave his name out of it as it could compromise his legal agreement post-Nokia in relation to secrecy. Whether you like either Android or Apple or don’t care at all it is always good to know how your device or future device may work in terms of overall functionality. iOS is the frontrunner for the most desired operating system in the United States but in global markets abroad Android is king because of the sheer amounts of handsets released from HTC, Samsung, LG and Motorola. HTC is the frontrunner for Android and Windows Phone and have helped both platforms to become more successful. Apple and Android is stepping away from its competition and leaving Blackberry and Windows Phone behind. Other platforms like WebOS has a chance but they are not urgent enough as HP focuses more R&D in to their computing. It’s a shame. What a good OS wasted. Poor Palm. Introducing TelstraOne for Next G® Androids

The TelstraOne app for Android launches on the HTC Sensation, LG Optimus Black and HTC Wildfire S and brings news, sports and weather feeds direct to a customer’s homescreen. Customers can set up general news or sports widgets. Or, if they’re interested in specific news categories, such as Entertainment, or a particular sport such as NRL, they can set up mini widgets dedicated to this content. TelstraOne also includes two handy weather widgets and, for the first time, a My Account widget that makes it easy to see at a glance how much included data a customer has remaining. Best of all, TelstraOne content is unmetered on the Telstra Next G® network. A number of Telstra’s in-market smartphones already have a TelstraOne application link on them. Customers can simply click on the TelstraOne icon and follow the prompts to install the full application from the Android Market.
