HTC Evo 3D (cdma) Running CyanogenMod 7.1 Overclocked to 1.78GHZ “STABLE” :)
I finally cracked the code last night and overclocked the Evo 3D (cdma) running cyanogenmod 7.1… overclocked to 1.78GHZ completely stable! Got lucky! Haven’t seen anyone else that has done it “successfully” yet and I’ve only been flashing roms/kernels since around 5/1/2012! LOL I’ll be posting another video on the steps I took how to do it… just got lucky! Tried flashing over 6 different kernels to overclock and found the right one last night! Funny thing is… I was attempting to overclock it from the adb shell command a few days ago… Last night I just did it from the phone only! Crazy. As always… I am not responsible for any damage or steps skipped during this process when trying to recover your phone or bring it to working booting condition. Desire Z NAND for HD2 by Dandiest Very FAST & Stable!!
This is just a very quick follow up to the video of this rom in an earlier release. I decided to actually let this rom run on my phone for about a week to give it a solid test. And WOW! It didn’t let me down once. Extremely responsive, stable, and fast! I will continue to do videos on this rom at different stages in release. I use the nand data on this rom currently and also use the stock framework as well as a kernel update to mdj 10.4 but I haven’t noticed much difference between the two. I use ppp for my data connection (personal preference) But I get great speeds and never have dropped data. If you have questions please post them I will try to answer when I can. Also please see the thread for the download info. Look for my new videos coming to cover configuring this rom and more. if you read the thread that is linked he provides a link to his nand builds. which have higher version release numbering. So that is where you can find the rom v3.2 and v3.3 however he is reuploading version 3.3 and don’t use v3.2 because of the infamous market download issues which are fixed in 3.3.
