Delete Stock Apps on Android
Music – Maurice Jarre – Lawrence Of Arabia Delete Peep, Friend Stream, amazonmp3, etc. These are Pre-Programmed apps that can’t be deleted normally. YOUR PHONE WILL NEED TO BE ROOTED. Please Google “One Click Root” for easy rooting. Code in Terminal: su (enter) mount -o rw,remount /system (enter) rm -r /system/app/FILE-NAME-HERE.apk (enter) notes: *terminal is case sensitive *hold menu down to get keyboard *in Astro make sure you check advanced search options (.apk) *be careful what you delete, cant be undone, unless u have backed them up *you can delete market apps as well through this process, but it would be longer than the normal way. If you get errors…remember terminal is CASE SENSITIVE. Share!!!

myTouch Stock DMD64 to CM 5.0.7 beta pt2
This is a stock myTouch with android 1.5 being upgraded to Cyanogenmod 5 using the Flashrec One Click Root method to flash the recovery image. The recovery image I will be using is an older Amon Ra version. Please us e the latest recovery if you can. I messed up on something but I just did the menu + home + power and I rebooeted. I will also flash Cyanogenmod 5 in this video.

Steve Job him self has stepped in an dismissed the idea he suggested that they’ll work fine if they come with sandpaper to file your fingers down to the size needed to make a 7″ tablet usable. Who would have thought that a Q4 earnings call today would be blessed by CEO Steve Jobs. Just prior to the Q&A portion of the call, Jobs went into a 5-minute rant about the state of both the smartphone and tablet markets. Notably, he went directly after Google and their “open system” and he laughed off the idea that the iPad will have any real competition. Amazing stuff. Open versus closed, the idea of “open”, fragmentation, tablet price points and more. If you wondered what Steve Jobs thinks, this is the phone call to listen to, he’s definitely not holding back. In the Q&A he was asked about the GalaxyTab it got even better which he derided as “tweeners”. He harps on their limited app selection, and the conclusion was that these tablets will be “DOA.” We’ll see, the 7 inch form factor is the perfect blend of screen size and portability.
